it was soo beautiful today!

we went to the park and had lunch with some of our friends...chase was obviously loving it especially after having spent pretty much the enitre winter couped up in the house on lockdown from being sick. ahhhhh fresh air...! then we got to go to dinner at our cousins house...overall a great day!....oh did i mention that i didn't manage to grab my camera once today to capture any number of the fun/interseting things that were going on?!...no?...oh. well i didn't. :/ good one me!

these are my nemesis right now.

dang you with youre dark chocolaty and magically creamy peanut buttery centered goodness!!! i have had just about everyone i know try one of these and its been pretty much the same response..."wow those are REALLY good!!!" no freaking kidding!!! i should know...ive only gone through like 4 or  containers since ive discovered them! i have to quit this habit fast or else it wont be pretty.

ive already posted about these delicious morsels once awhile back...but today my lovely friend brought me a surprise when i cut her hair.....oh how i am loving you u and cursing u right now friend...lol...jk!. i guess its just payback for getting her hooked on em. ;)

anyway today was kinda a long day at work...didnt get a chance to take pics of chase...he and adam are fast alseep...so now its just me and my box of chocolates...cant complain.

this is what i would like to do anytime i see this lovely box...shameful i know.

a boy and his dog.

who needs the real thing when an old halloween costume and a few stuffed ones will do the trick?! chase loves these guys...he can usually been seen carrying around at least one of them around the house at any given time. sometimes he likes to snuggle up in his chair with as many as will fit!...i have a feeling that in a few years we may be getting requests for the real deal. :)

shots. suck.

after being through two rounds of antibiotics for a double ear-infection, chase was finally able to get his 18 mo well check up which included shots :( he was such a good boy during his visit and  pretty happy too...until the nurse came in to give him the shots...poor baby knew what was coming as soon as he saw that needle..ahhhhh it breaks my heart to hear that cry and then to see that face of..."why the heck did you just let her do that to me??!!" anyway he was over it before we left the dr. office...that is until we changed him into his jammies and he saw the band-aids....tears. my poor baby...what a champ!

i have been kinda on a smoothie kick lately and chase has been loving them too! todays flavor de jour was banana chocolate peanut butter...mmmmmmm.!

super bowl!

chase loves a crowd and tonight during the super bowl was no exception! he had a blast with his aunts and uncle and cousins...putting on quite the show for all of us...he's such a ham and i LOVE it. he is our own personal half-time show....p.s. he was totally diggin the black.eyed.peas tonight.

he started his ensemble with just a simple beanie...he thought is was pretty hilarious that it was over his whole head.

then he went for it and added some hot pink boots...

i still wasn't 100% today but was feeling much better! adam and chase got into some shenanigans today like eating peppermint kisses...adam said chase really liked them but the pictures would suggest something different lol. adam was on camera duty again.

WARNING!!!...

this post is grosssss!!! and the pic is nasty!!! today we woke up to chase talking in his room saying "uh oh uh oh uh oh" over and over. we usually let him chill for a minute before getting him up. so adam went to pick him up and i can hear in the monitor..."oh nice...mama you better come here..." im thinking what? did he climb out of his crib? or take his diaper off?!...oh no...no no no what i saw when i went in was seriously so grrrosssss!

we had his 18 month (can not believe it!!!) check up today and while we were there found out my poor guy has a double ear infection!!!...we felt soo bad...but he is such a trooper..hasn't even been acting at like they were bothering him at all!...sorry chase we didnt know!..love you bud!

BOOOOO!

chase loves to be scared....he runs around the house after me so i can hide and scare him! i tried to capture some of our hide and seek today but he's pretty quick...i love playing this little game with him...he's starting to shout booo! at me when he comes around the corner...i love this kid, he's so fun!

not quite quick enough with the camera...yes he's gone fishin..lol...and yes those are my shoes in the middle of the kitchen :)

lunchtime!

this kid likes to eat! the past couple days he was just eh about eating, i think it was because he is teething and had a little cold. but today he was all about it..on the menu for lunch today was peanut butter and jelly, grapes, some bananas, and a chunk of foccia since he say me eating it. so glad he seems to have his appetite back!

...and that he didn't get it ALL OVER his face! ;)

everyone went to bed pretty early tonight except me...so that meant curling up on the couch with a blanket and pressing play on our overloaded dvr...kinda love nights like these every once-in-awhile!

i made this today....mmmm warm yummy foccia bread...soo good and oh soo easy. and even easier to eat a whole pan by yourself....guilty. almost. :) p.s. what's with me and food lately?!

pics of chase will hopefully resume tomorrow the battery in my rebel was dead for most of the day :/ what kind of mother doesn't have her battery constantly charged?!

"the things we love"

i did a "things we love" swap tonight with some ladies from church. it was pretty fun...there were all kinds of things...the rules were you could either make it or buy it but if you bought it it couldn't be more than $5. so everyone brought their favorite thing...some brought their favorite cleaning supply, others some nifty craft they had made, hair products, or yummy treat!...

i brought these of course......soo good!..even if you're not a dark choc fan, these are still the best "reese's" you've ever had!

and this is what i got...cute little bowl (you can never have too many of those!), fresh pineapple yummm!, and a little choo choo whistle...i was so stoked for this cause i thought i would be perfect for chase!...he's into trains now after his visit with g&p. i think i made out pretty good!

i love you tomorrow!!!....because i get to pick up this precious boy after being at g&p's for a WEEK!!! i am sooooooo ready to see this sweet face again...in person...skype is awesome but i miss my boy! (i'm sure way more than he's missed us...he's having a blast!...thanks mom and dad!)

we have been getting crazy while chase is at grama and papa's house...you know renting movies and staying up late enough to actually watch them...on our redbox list: salt...i liked it, wall street: money never sleeps...pretty good, and dinner for schmucks...ehhh at best.

SURPRISE!

today we made the trek to paso robles, ca to surprise adam's mom for her 70th birthday. all 7 of her kids and spouses, and almost all of the grandkids and made it!...she was sooo surprised and excited!

"manes" and bubbles...

these are two very popular topics in our house. "manes" aka planes are chase's favorite! i'm pretty sure he can hear them with supersonic hearing...as soon as he gets a glimps or hears one its all about manes manes manes....he likes to look out his window or go in the backyard and watch for them...it never gets old...today when we were outside we blew some bubbles and he was loving it....ahh the simple pleasures of life!
